- גְּמַש
- גְּמַש(cmp. כמש) to contract, bend. Yoma 67a Ms. M. 2 (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 20) זימנין דגְמִיש רישיה ולא חזי ליה sometimes the animals head (in falling) is bent, and he (the man) cannot see the chord. Pa. גַּמֵּיש same. Ib. ed. זימנין דג׳ ליה לרישיה ולאו אדעתיה the animal may bend its head, and the man may not think of looking after the chord.
